Copyright, use of content and AI labelling

Unless otherwise indicated, content published on this website and created by us – including in particular texts, photographs, graphics, illustrations, designs, audiovisual content and other media – is protected by copyright or other intellectual property rights.

Reproduction, modification, distribution, public communication, republication or any other use beyond the limits permitted by applicable law requires our prior consent or the consent of the respective rights holder. Third-party rights and existing licence terms remain unaffected.

Links to publicly accessible content on our website are generally welcome where the source is clearly identified. Such linking does not, however, grant any additional rights of use, exploitation or licensing.

Text and data mining and use for artificial intelligence systems

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we expressly reserve all rights with regard to automated analysis of our content, in particular in connection with text and data mining.

This reservation includes, in particular, the use of our content for the training, development, improvement or operation of generative artificial intelligence systems and comparable automated models where no express permission, contractual entitlement or appropriate licence has been granted.

Where required or provided for under applicable law, this reservation of rights may additionally be expressed in machine-readable form. Statutory exceptions and mandatory limitations, including legally privileged uses, remain unaffected.

Labelling of AI-generated or AI-modified content

This website may contain content that has been created in whole or in part, or materially modified, with the assistance of artificial intelligence systems. This may include images, graphics, illustrations, audiovisual content and other synthetic media.

In the interests of transparent use of artificial intelligence and taking into account the transparency requirements of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 (EU Artificial Intelligence Act), in particular Article 50, we identify such content where this is legally required or appropriate for transparency purposes.

Images and other media identified by us may in particular carry a visible notice such as “AI GENERATED”, “AI-generated” or an equivalent label.

Such labelling is intended to inform users transparently that artificial intelligence was used in the creation or material modification of the relevant content. The label does not in itself mean that the entire content was created exclusively by artificial intelligence.

Applicable statutory transparency, labelling and information requirements, as well as applicable exceptions, remain unaffected.
